The Drone Connect Box turns DJI Dock 2 and Dock 3 into European-operated infrastructure - inspection data routed through encrypted infrastructure you control, into software governed under EU law.
On most dock deployments, inspection data leaves over the aircraft's own cellular link and lands in the manufacturer's cloud - frequently outside Europe - before your team ever sees it.
Nobody decided this. It shipped that way. But European operators are now accountable for it: the EU Data Act gives you an enforceable right to the data your connected products generate, and NIS2 makes the security of your supply chain - vendors and clouds included - your responsibility to manage and evidence.
The practical consequence is simple. When an auditor asks where your drone data goes and who can reach it, the answer has to come from you, not from a vendor's documentation.

Aerial footage of a working site captures people, which makes it personal data under GDPR - and the operator's responsibility to justify wherever it travels. The Drone Connect Box blurs faces at the edge, as part of the same on-site processing that reads your gauges and flags anomalies. No identifiable data crosses the boundary, so there is no transfer to explain.
